100% of private sector workers can return to the office starting today
The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management announced yesterday that shopping centers and private sector companies can operate at 100% of their capacity as of Wednesday June 3rd, 2020 in Dubai (30% of workers in the rest of the Emirates).
Company business hours and shopping center opening hours must be within the hours allowed for public movement (National Sterilization Program), which are currently between 6 am and 11 pm for Dubai (between 6 am and 10 pm in the other Emirates).
Regarding the public sector, 50% of public employees can go to their job in Dubai (100% from June 14th), 35% in Abu Dhabi and 30% in the rest of the Emirates.
Authorities place special emphasis on the need for all employees to strictly follow precautionary measures, including the use of face masks, the maintenance of a minimum safe distance of two meters, the use of hand sanitizers and regular hand washing. with soap and water for 20 seconds.
For its part, Abu Dhabi yesterday launched a week-long ban on movement across the emirate's territory, to ensure mass testing of Covid-19. Movement restrictions apply to entering and leaving Abu Dhabi, as well as between its regions. Abu Dhabi police urge residents to obtain movement permits before making any movements. This ban is expected to last at least 1 to 2 weeks.
